Descrizione

Possono raggiungere i 10 cm di lunghezza totale. Si nutre di alghe e invertebrati. È predato dalla lampuga (Coryphaena hippurus). È innocuo per l' uomo.

Diffusione

Si trova nell'Atlantico occidentale (dalla Carolina del Nord - Stati Uniti - e dalle Bermuda alle Antille e al Sud America settentrionale). È un pesce di mare subtropicale associato alle barriere coralline che vive tra 2-50 m di profondità.
